Basilewsky’s collection was displayed at the Exposition universelle (Paris, 1878), and was purchased by Alexander III for the Hermitage Museum in 1884; see Arts appliqués de l’Europe occidentale XIIe-XVIIIe s., p. 5ff
The 17 monochrome heliogravures are by E. Baldus. The 33 chromolithographs were printed by Lemercier, Paris; they are by Bauer, Daumont, Dupuis, Lefèvre, Levie, Massot, Régamey, or G.ve Sanier after Lefèvre or Schmidt
Binding: maroon morocco-grained cloth. Both boards tooled in blind. Title, and TEXTE or PLANCHE on spines in gilt
